LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Hells Angels veteran Sonny Barger, the man who oversaw the motorcycle gang's violent crackdown on fans at the Rolling Stones' disastrous Altamont concert in 1969, is suing HBO over a drama project he claims he helped develop.
In a suit filed last week, Barger contends HBO and the producers of the motorcycle-themed drama pilot "1%" cut him out of the project and violated many of his publicity rights when he demanded changes to protect his own brand.

Favorite Rides Through the Northern Sierra Nevada by Hank Bischoff Volume 4 April 2008
By mike @ 3:33 PM :: 194 Views :: 0 Comments ::

  It was a beautiful morning with record high temperatures as Margie and I started our ride. We left Pioneer heading West
on HWY 88 to Sutter Creek and made a stop in Plymouth at Foothill Motorcycle Company. We ordered some new parts for the
Sportster and met a couple with a custom sidecar on their bike to carry their wheel-chair bound daughter.

D&D PERFORNANCE EXHAUST
By mike @ 10:27 AM :: 192 Views :: 0 Comments ::

 When my son Dale got his 2008 Harley FLHTCU it did not take him long to ask me what he could do to the exhaust system.
 My answer was a lot. You need to be more specific what you want to accomplish with the change as different systems provide different results.   What we came up with was to use a true dual system so the appearance of the motorcycle would not change drastically.
  The D&D Duelie pipes (part 516-22D) were chosen because they looked good and would enhance performance by giving the rear cylinder its own pipe providing a true dual exhaust. Adding a set of D&D 3 ½ inch slash cut mufflers (part 408-12S) would produce a good sound without being offensive.

I rode Harleys By BIKER BOB
By mike @ 4:55 PM :: 154 Views :: 0 Comments ::

 I rode Harleys when I was younger, but drifted from riding in the seventies, partly due to family priorities and partly due to Harley AMF issues.  But I got back on board a few years later.   In 2003  I had felt bored with my career in high-tech and after a run in with my new boss decided to try something different.  Some thirty years prior I had started out as a radio disc jockey, moving from small town to small town trying to build a resume.  But after two years of small town radio, I took a job a friend offered that would allow me to come home.  This new job lead to a few others and next thing I knew I was in the booming high tech industry.  I was at the bottom rung of course, but high-tech none the less.  I gave up on finding another broadcasting job and my dream of being the next Johnny Carson (he had started out in radio also) took a back seat.  I bet Jay Leno was relieved.

STURGIS RIDER LIVE, Rampant Riding By Felicia Morgan

Halleluiah and pass the sun screen. It looks like good riding weather has blessed us once again. For a while there the wicked old weather witch was holding us as hostages in our humble abodes here in Northern California and the tell-tale signs of cabin fever were everywhere. I, personally, found myself staring out the rain streaked windows carefully eyeing the horizon for rescue boats as our yearly rain fall total reached the 100% mark. And that was months ago. Right now, whether it’s a false spring or an early warning sign that we’re headed for a scorching summer, we’re languishing in bright sun and toasty temps. I’m a happy gal.

Tales From The Old Gypsy Man Episode 6
By mike @ 9:52 AM :: 161 Views :: 0 Comments ::

I woke as the sun was just pulling itself up over the horizon lighting up the tent.  I felt crunchy.  The skin on my face felt tight and burnt.  My eyes felt as though they’d been filled with sand.  My joints were complaining as if they’d been run without oil.  As I searched for the reason why I felt this way I remembered where I was and suddenly none of my afflictions mattered.

Columbia State Park

One of my favorite rides through the Sierra is to Columbia State Park. The town of Columbia dates back to the 1850's and is
one of the best preserved Gold Rush towns of the era. It is like stepping back in time. The locals and shop keepers dress in
period clothing and speaking of, period attire is available at Philip Schwartz Mercantile.

Tales From The Old Gypsy Man Episode 5
By mike @ 9:20 AM :: 153 Views :: 1 Comments ::
I was feeling fine and riding into the Badlands my way, using county routes instead of the interstate like the tourists and the RUBs. I was really feeling proud of myself. Isn’t there a saying about pride coming before a fall? It was only a few miles to state route 240 and I took it south into the park. As I rolled along and made the bend in the road at Cedar Pass, the landscape seemed to open right up before me.
