Biker Media By Bill Hayes
By mike @ 2:36 PM :: 214 Views :: 3 Comments ::

I have studied the world of “biker media” since the early 1960s. One of the main things that is so apparent in that world is that we—the members of the “biker culture”—are so, so unique. No other area of society is “observed” as we are. No other area of society is feared, yet so envied as we are. We represent so much to so many people who live vicariously; people who either can’t or won’t allow themselves to do the things that we do each and every day.

What is a Biker 2 by Biker Bob
By mike @ 9:45 AM :: 173 Views :: 1 Comments ::

I wrote a few weeks back about when I was 13 and fell in love with the idea of riding a Harley with a dozen friends like Jonny and the guys from the Wild One movie.  I wanted to be a Biker without knowing exactly what a Biker is.  Well, today I’m 58 and I am still riding and you know what?  I’m still not sure what a Biker is.

Favorite rides through the Northern Sierra Nevada
By host @ 4:23 PM :: 184 Views :: 0 Comments ::

So last month we rode the Ice House Loop and passed the town of Cool, and as mentioned, Cool is a great place to begin another scenic Ride through the Sierra. So if you’re in Cool, head north on Hwy 49 past the quarry on your right and into the canyon leading down to Auburn Ravine. There are a couple of turn-outs on the way down with some great views of the Auburn Foresthill Bridge, the tallest bridge in California.

The American Biker
By @ 12:29 AM :: 282 Views :: 0 Comments ::

The American biker is the most powerful, envied and, at times, even feared figure in all of society.
 That’s simply the way it is.
 For many years I have been intimately involved with the way that the media continually examines our lifestyle. I have written about it from the “inside.” I have seen and studied how the mainstream media looks at us from the “outside.”

Favorite Rides through the Northern Sierra Nevada
By host @ 10:57 AM :: 239 Views :: 1 Comments ::
Hello, my name is Hank Bischoff. I’ve been riding motorcycles since 1969 and have lived on both the East and West coasts of these United States. Since 1990 I’ve been fortunate enough to live in the Sierra Nevada and have discovered a lifetime of breath-taking, scenic Roads to explore.  The Sierra’s are a geologically “young” mountain Range, jagged and sharp with many rock formations and waterfalls.

My first love was a Harley
By host @ 1:39 AM :: 203 Views :: 1 Comments ::
The Biker folklore and the legend of the biker life-style have always intrigued me, since I first discovered it back when it was still growing.  It was around 1963, I was a young teen and an old black and white movie would pop-up late nights on one of those new fangled VHF stations in the Bay Area.  The movie was of coarse The Wild One.
